Report: Saints could interview Eagles OC Moore Monday

After a surprising shift in the New Orleans Saints head coach search, things are back up and running for the team following Sunday’s NFC Championship game.

After a commanding 55-23 victory over the Washington Commanders, Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Kellen Moore is next on the list for New Orleans.

Per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Saints are likely to fly to Philadelphia as early as Monday to conduct an in-person interview with Moore for their open head coach position.

Moore has been an offensive coordinator in the NFL at three different stops since 2019. He played six years in the NFL for the Cowboys and Lions before immediately entering the coaching ranks.

After the departure of offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak to the Seattle Seahawks, New Orleans hiring an offensive head coach makes sense. Moore will be the only in-person interview the Saints have traveled to thus far. Moore will begin preparations for the Super Bowl, so the Saints will make a special trip.

The team’s previous in-person visits include interim head coach Darren Rizzi, Miami Dolphins offensive coordinator Anthony Weaver and New York Giants offensive coordinator and assistant head coach Mike Kafka. New Orleans is also expected to work on interviewing former Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy this week.
