LSU guard Flau’jae Johnson is raising awareness about financial literacy. “It’s hard to create a winning financial game plan when you are blocked by debt,” Johnson said in a press release. “I’m excited to partner with Experian to help families take control of their future.”
The announcement perfectly aligns with Johnson’s return to the court. Johnson has recovered from the injury that sidelined her during the SEC Tournament. As LSU’s leading scorer, averaging 18.9 points per game, she is now set to return for the NCAA tournament.
Experian has partnered with ForgiveCo to administer debt relief, prioritizing Louisiana, which has one of the highest poverty rates. As Johnson and LSU prepare for the tournament, their success on the court could directly provide financial relief to more families across the state.
The Tigers will learn their NCAA tournament placement on March 16.
