LSU declines NIT bid

LSU has declined an invitation to participate in this year’s NIT, LouisianaSports.net has learned.
A spokesperson cited the team’s current injury situation and limited available players on the roster as the primary reason for turning down the bid.
The SEC receives two automatic NIT bids that are awarded to the top two teams in the league that did not make the NCAA Tournament. With a record 14 SEC teams earning NCAA bids, that left only LSU and South Carolina available for the NIT.
South Carolina also declined their NIT bid.
