LSU lands Mississippi State transfer forward Mike Nwoko

What figures to be a busy run for LSU basketball in the transfer portal is underway.
Mike Nwoko, a former Mississippi State forward, committed to Matt McMahon and the Tigers on Monday.
The 6-foot-10, 245 lbs. forward started all but two games for the Bulldogs in 2024-25. He averaged 6.1 points and 4.6 rebounds per game. He had 24 blocked shots and shot 54 percent from the floor.
LSU is coming off a season that saw the Tigers finish 3-15 in the SEC. Four Tigers have already entered the transfer portal and four additional players are out of eligibility.
Nwoko hails from Toronto, Ontario. He has two years of eligibility remaining.
