LSU adds LHSCA Director Eric Held to support staff

BATON ROUGE, La. — LSU has added Eric Held to its support staff as the new Director of High School Relations, Held confirmed to LouisianaSports.net.
Shea Dixon of On3 first reported the news.
Held has served as the director of the Louisiana High School Coaches Association since 2019. Prior to that, he spent 25 years as a teacher and coach in the state.
He is a New Orleans (La.) Brother Martin graduate and played football at Nicholls where he was a special teams captain.
Held served as the head coach at St. Mary’s in Natchitoches and St. Michael the Archangel in Baton Rouge before joining the Catholic (BR) staff in 2013 where he was a part of the team’s first state championship in 2015.
Held is the second support staff addition Monday as the Tigers also added Jai Choudhary from Ole Miss as Associate Director of Player Personnel.
