John Emery Jr. officially enters portal

In March, John Emery Jr. announced he would be returning to college football for a seventh season.

The later that week. LSU head coach Brian Kelly said that LSU was “set” at the running back position and that the program would “be there to help and support” the former tailback.
On Wednesday the transfer portal opened in college football, and Emery has officially entered.
Emery began his college career at LSU in 2019 and has missed parts of two seasons with injuries and all of 2021 due to academics. He will have one year of eligibility remaining.
Due to league rules, Emery cannot transfer to an SEC program in the spring portal window.
