Saints now favored to select Georgia EDGE, Sanders odds plummet

Two days before the NFL Draft, the New Orleans Saints have seen their first draft pick odds shift.
New Orleans had been the favorite to select Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders. Draft Kings now lists Georgia EDGE Mykel Williams as a +370 favorite to be selected ninth overall. Sanders is now sixth at +750. Michigan’s Mason Graham is second at +550, followed by Texas offensive lineman Kelvin Banks (+600), Penn State tight end Tyler Warren (+650) and Texas A&M EDGE Shemar Stewart (+700).
Even if Williams isn’t the pick, the Saints are +100 to select a defensive lineman with quarterback and offensive lineman a distant second at +400.
Mykel Williams is starting to grow on me.
Get him on an NFL diet and the weight room, and he could be an issue for opposing teams.

Adam Schefter reported Monday that New Orleans is more likely to take a lineman No. 9 overall and has made calls about moving up from their second round pick (No. 40 overall) presumably to select a quarterback. Jaxson Dart of Ole Miss and Louisville’s Tyler Shough are the assumed targets.
The Saints have selected an offensive or defensive lineman with nine of their last 11 first round picks.
The draft begins Thursday at 7 p.m. CT from Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisc.
