Gator Bowl kickoff time moved due to Sugar Bowl change

Kickoff for the Gator Bowl between No. 14 Ole Miss and Duke has been rescheduled for 7 p.m. Central Thursday. The change was made to accommodate television after the Sugar Bowl was moved from New Year’s Day as a result of the terror attack on New Orleans.

The Gator Bowl had been the only bowl game scheduled for Thursday until authorities decided Wednesday to postpone the Sugar Bowl. Now, the College Football Playoff Quarterfinal matchup between No. 2 Georgia and No. 7 Notre Dame will be played at 3:00 p.m. with the Gator Bowl to follow. Both games will be televised on ESPN.
In the early morning hours on New Year’s Day, a man drove a truck into a crowd on Bourbon Street in New Orleans, killing at least ten people and injuring more than 30 others. The assailant was killed by authorities at the scene.
