Alabama tops new AP Poll

The Associated Press Top 25 was updated Sunday, and Alabama has secured the top spot.
After their thrilling win over Georgia in Tuscaloosa on Saturday, the Tide claims the top spot for the first time in Kalen DeBoer’s tenure as head coach. Texas, the previous No. 1, slipped to the second position after beating Mississippi State.
Nine SEC teams were ranked in all including seven of the Top 13.
LSU moved up two spots to No. 13. The Tigers’ next opponent, Ole Miss, fell to No. 12 after losing to Kentucky in Oxford on Saturday.
