Alabama WR Germie Bernard to Return for 2024 Season

Alabama wide receiver Germie Bernard announced he will return for the 2025 season. Bernard made the announcement early Wednesday afternoon via his Instagram account.

Bernard transferred to Alabama last offseason from Washington, following first-year head coach Kalen DeBoer to Tuscaloosa. He led the team in receptions last season with 50, totaling 794 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Bernard and Ryan Williams became the primary targets for quarterback Jalen Milroe. The two players combined for more than 43% of the team’s completions and over 53% of its receiving yards. Over the final two games of the season, Bernard and Williams accounted for 29 of the team’s 30 total targets in the passing game.

Bernard has one year of eligibility remaining. The deadline for underclassmen to declare for the NFL draft is Jan. 15.
