Battle Becomes Newest Tiger Pledge

LSU’s summer surge on the recruiting trail continued Monday.
Brian Kelly and the Tigers secured a commitment from Texas defensive lineman Dilan Battle. The 2025 prospect out of Arlington picked the Tigers over offers from Texas Tech, Cal, SMU and others.
Standing 6-foot-3 and tipping the scales at 300 lbs. entering his senior season, Battle profiles as an interior defensive lineman. He joins Brandon Brown and Zion Williams as defensive tackle commitments in this star-studded Tiger class.
Battle is rated a three-star prospect by all four recruiting services. On3’s Industry Ranking pegs him as the 53 best prep defensive tackle in his class.
Kelly’s crop includes 22 verbal commitments and ranks third best in the country behind just Alabama and Ohio State.
