Brian Kelly Updates Chris Hilton’s Status for Gamecocks

LSU wide receiver Chris Hilton, Jr. is still listed as questionable for Saturday’s game at South Carolina, Brian Kelly said Wednesday.

Sources tell LouisianaSports.net that Hilton did not practice Wednesday morning.

The senior from Zachary, La. Has missed the first two games of the season due to a bone bruise suffered late in fall camp.  Hilton is considered LSU’s deep threat among the receivers.  His replacement, redshirt freshman Kyle Parker, injured his elbow against USC and missed last week’s game against Nicholls.  Former five-star Shelton Sampson took those reps against the Colonels.

Hilton averages 18.9 yards per reception for his career.  Senior Kyren Lacy currently leads LSU in that category this season at 13.3 ypc.

The Tigers and Gamecocks are slated for an 11 a.m. kickoff Saturday from Williams-Brice Stadium.  ESPN’s College Game Day will originate from Columbia, SC.
