Tiger Hunting in Austin
The most high profile matchup going into last weekend featured newly crowned No. 1 Texas and No. 8 Auburn, fresh off one of the most impressive weeks of the season. The Tigers had just swept top-five LSU and knocked off ranked Georgia Tech on the road in midweek action.
None of that momentum mattered when they got to Austin. Texas swept the Tigers and capped off the weekend with a dominant 14-2 run ruling of Auburn. Texas has played all three Tiger teams in the SEC this season. They are 8-1 against all three combined.

It’s hard to win in the SEC and everyone knows that. However, what Missouri is doing seems even more difficult. Mizzou is currently 0-18 in SEC play this season. They have lost every game of every series on every weekend of the slate, so far. The Tigers still have four series left against Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi State, and Texas A&M.
The SEC needs to relegate Missouri baseball like European soccer.

Texas A&M continues clawing back
Just a month ago, Texas A&M was in danger of becoming the first team in nearly 30 years to start the season ranked No. 1 and miss the postseason. Now, the Aggies are finally playing like the team everyone expected back in February. The Aggies have won three straight series including two against top five teams on the road. Their latest road trip to Fayetteville resulted in winning two of three against No. 3 Arkansas.

Now, the Aggies will hope that good things come in threes as they travel to Austin for their third road series against a top five team in the last four weeks. This one has been circled on calendars in the Lone Star state for nearly a year. The Aggies will take on their former coach, their arch rival, and a boat load of emotion against No. 1 Texas in a three game series.
