Former LSU receiver Kyren Lacy dead at 24

Former LSU receiver Kyren Lacy has died of an apparent suicide. He was 24-years-old.
LSU confirmed Lacy’s death in a statement Saturday.
“We’re saddened to learn of the tragic passing of former LSU football student-athlete Kyren Lacy,” the statement read. “Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones, as well as his former teammates and coaches impacted by his passing.”
A grand jury in Lafourche Parish was set to begin hearing evidence Monday in the December fatal hit-and-run case that left a 78-year-old man dead. Lacy was arrested in January on multiple charges including negligent homicide in connection with the crash.
The Thibodaux, La. native completed his college career in 2024 tied for the SEC lead in touchdown receptions with nine. He played two seasons at Louisiana-Lafayette before transferring to LSU for his final three.
Lacy participated fully in LSU’s pro day on March 26.
