Former Notre Dame, Vanderbilt RB Micah Bell Commits to UGA

By Chris Marler
Former Notre Dame and Vanderbilt running back Micah Bell has officially committed to play for Georgia. Bell is the younger brother of Georgia wide receiver Dillon Bell, who has been a two-year starter for Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs.
Bell is listed as the No. 256 wide receiver in the transfer portal and a three-star recruit. However, Georgia is recruiting him to play running back.
At the very least, he should provide depth at a position decimated by injuries this past season. Of the five scholarship running backs on the roster, only one—true freshman Nate Frazier—was able to play in all 14 games. Outside of Frazier, Georgia dealt with a rash of injuries throughout the year.
Branson Robinson missed eight games, Roderick Robinson missed 12, and starter Trevor Etienne missed four during a crucial stretch of the season. Bell will have three years of eligibility remaining.
