Georgia Player Arrested for Reckless Driving
09/13/2024
UGA football player Daniel Harris was arrested Thursday night for reckless driving. The former four-star defensive back from Miami was caught going 106 mph by the Athens-Clarke County Police. The car’s registration had expired, and police later found out Harris was driving without insurance.
According to the Athens Banner-Herald, this is at least the 30th player arrested or given a citation for speeding, racing, or reckless driving since January 2023 when a player and staffer lost their lives due to a street racing incident.
Harris has played in both games so far this season for the Dawgs as the primary backup at cornerback on Kirby Smart’s defense.
