Georgia, Texas Top AP Poll; LSU Climbs to No. 16

The AP Top 25 was released Sunday and some significant changes were seen in the third edition. Eight total teams from the conference are ranked including six of the top seven overall.
Tennessee jumped up seven spots to No. 7 and Texas jumped Ohio State to No. 2 after their big win at Michigan. The Wolverines and Notre Dame both dropped out of the Top 10 after home losses. Notre Dame fell 13 spots all the way to No. 18 after a loss to Northern Illinois. Michigan is No. 17 in this weeks poll.

23 – Nebraska
24 – Boston College
25 – Northern Illinois
In addition to the eight teams ranked in the Top 25, three other SEC teams received votes as well (Texas A&M, Vanderbilt and South Carolina).
