Hilton Out, Dellinger Questionable Against Nicholls

09/05/2024

LSU Senior wide receiver Chris Hilton will miss his second consecutive game with a bone bruise, Brian Kelly announced Thursday.  Hilton suffered the injury late in fall camp while making a contested touchdown reception.  He did not play in the season opener against USC and will miss Saturday’s home opener against Nicholls.

Kelly also announced that senior guard Garrett Dellinger is questionable against the Colonels.  If he can’t go, second year swing lineman Tyree Adams would be the likely replacement.  Dellinger has played in 35 career games with 24 starts.

With Hilton out against USC, redshirt freshman Kyle Parker started in his place but was injured against the Trojans.  Kelly said earlier this week that fellow second-year wideout Shelton Sampson is being prepped to step into that role.

The Tigers and Colonels are set for a 6:30 p.m. kickoff in Tiger Stadium.
