Kelly updates LSU DB injury

Brian Kelly updated the injury status of LSU senior cornerback Zy Alexander Monday.

“He lost his wind more that it was anything to do with his knee,” Kelly said.

Alexander is continuing to see his playing time increase as he works back from a torn ACL suffered last November against Army.  Alexander played 49 snaps against South Carolina after recording 34 snaps the week prior against Nicholls.  He did not see the field against USC in the opener.

The Tigers saw the return of guard Garrett Dellinger and receiver Kyle Parker against the Gamecocks.  Chris Hilton missed this third consecutive game while Da’Shawn Womack missed the last two contests.

“I think we look pretty clean,” he said.

Kelly will update his team’s injury status later in the week with the SEC mandated injury report.
