LSU adds Portland wing via transfer portal

LSU’s 2025-26 basketball team is taking shape.
On Thursday evening, LSU landed its fourth transfer portal addition in Portland wing Max Mackinnon, who announced his commitment via his Instagram page.

LSU needed a shooter, and Mackinnon qualifies. The 6-foot-6 Australian shot 41 percent from deep for the Pilots this season and averaged 14.5 points per game.
Mackinnon is also an 89 percent free throw shooter and was second team all-West Coast Conference. He began his college career at Elon before transferring to Portland.
The Tigers hold the No. 2 transfer portal class according to 247 Sports, trailing only Louisville.
