LSU adds Summit League POTY Marquel Sutton

LSU’s transfer portal roll continued Sunday.
On3’s Joe Tipton is reporting that Marquel Sutton, the Summit League Player of the Year from Omaha, has pledged to the Tigers.

Sutton, a 6-foot-8 forward, averaged 18.9 points and 7.9 rebounds per game for the Mavericks in 2024-25 and helped them land an NCAA Tournament berth.
In three years at Omaha, Sutton has scored 1,373 points. He shot 53 percent from two-point range as a junior and scored 20-plus points in 21 games.
Sutton received interest from Kansas State and Nebraska before picking LSU. He becomes the fifth portal addition in the last week for LSU.
