LSU Guard Dellinger Out, Adams to Make First Start

LSU senior guard Garrett Dellinger will miss the Tigers contest Saturday agianst Nicholls due to an injury suffered last Sunday against USC.  Redshirt freshman Tyree Adams will make his first career start in his place.

Dellinger has played in 35 career games with 24 starts.  He started all 13 games in 2023.  Adams is a 6-foot-7, 313 pounder from St. Augustine in New Orleans.  He played in just one game as a freshman a season ago.

Brian Kelly had previously announced senior Chris Hilton would miss his second consecutive game with a bone bruise.  Redshirt freshman Kyle Parker suffered a UCL injury agaisnt USC while starting in Hilton’s place.  Fellow second-year Tiger Shelton Sampson is expected to see an incresed workload Saturday against the Colonels.
