LSU Lands first ’25 hoops commit

Matt McMahon landed his first commitment for 2025 when Pennsylvania big man Matt Gilhool announced his pledge to the Tigers on Tuesday.

The 6-foot-10, 205 pound left-handed power forward is the top player in his state, the No. 71 overall player and the 14^th best power forward according to the On3 Composite.

Gilhool visited LSU this past weekend and chose the Tigers over more than a dozen other schools including Alabama, Tennessee, Iowa, Georgia Tech, Syracuse, Mississippi State and others.

McMahon is set to begin his third season in Baton Rouge.
