LSU guard Williams enters transfer portal

A second LSU Tiger has entered the transfer portal Monday. Sophomore guard Mike Williams III is leaving LSU after two seasons with the program, he announced via social media.

Williams is a former four-star recruit who has played two seasons for LSU. He’s a native of Baltimore, Maryland.

Redshirt freshman forward Corey Chest announced his intention to enter the portal late Sunday night.
Williams was ranked the No. 96 player in the country by 247Sports when he signed with LSU. He played in 24 games as a freshman, averaging 4.0 point per game. This season, Williams played in 33 gamed with 22 starts, averaging 7.2 points per game.
The Tigers finished the season 14-18 overall and 3-15 in the SEC.
