We kick off October with six different SEC games including five conference matchups. Some people have pointed out that this weekend’s slate looks weak, uninspiring, not exciting, etc. Let me just tell everyone that every time we think we are in for a weekend of boredom, we end up with a weekend of craziness. Let’s not forget there has been at least one upset every single week in the SEC so far this season.
So here are the numbers to know for Week 6!
40: It’s been 40 years since Vanderbilt has beaten Alabama. The ‘Dores upset Alabama. 30-21, in Tuscaloosa back in 1984. Since then, Alabama has won 23 straight games including the last three by a combined score of 148-3.
4-1: Missouri is 4-1 off a bye week under head coach Eli Drinkwitz. The Tigers only loss was last year to Georgia in a game they were in for most of the contest.
14-3: Georgia’s record against Auburn over the last 17 years in “The Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry”.
-19.6: Ole Miss’s point differential in games at home last season (44.1) versus games on the road (24.5). They play at South Carolina on Saturday.
1930: The current pace that Ole Miss receiver Tre Harris is on for total receiving yards in the regular season this year. Harris has 804 receiving yards this season through five games for an average of 160.8 per game.
25: Years since Arkansas has beaten a Top 5 opponent at home in Fayetteville. They defeated No. 3 Tennessee 28-24 on November 13, 1999, and they face the Vols this Saturday night as well.
9871238917237: Consecutive days that Billy Napier has been on the hot seat.
17: Did you know that Alabama WR Ryan Williams is only – you know what, nevermind.
