Oklahoma’s injury report has been a MASH unit of sorts over the last few weeks, especially on the offensive side of the ball. The Sooners went to Auburn last week for their first SEC road game without their top five wide receivers. Despite all the absentees from the offense, they were still able to get a huge road win.

This week they’re on a bye, but hoping to get some positive news on their two biggest offensive playmakers, Deion Burks and Taylor Tatum.

“They’re doing good,” Brent Venables said. “Looking good. Expect to have an opportunity to have both of those guys potentially back.”

Burks leads the Sooners in receptions (26), receiving yards (201) and touchdowns (3) despite missing a game. Venables and company are hoping for a quick return to help aid true freshman quarterback Michael Hawkins, Jr. who made his first career start against Auburn in place of former five-star Jackson Arnold.

Oklahoma plays Texas in Dallas next Saturday.
