Paulson Adebo makes strong recovery ahead of free agency

By Ross Jackson
One of the biggest potential departures the New Orleans Saints may endure this offseason is showing some impressive progress in his injury recovery.
Saints cornerback Paulson Adebo enters free agency after an abrupt and unfortunate end to his 2024 season. His injury occurred during the Week Seven Thursday Night Football matchup against the Denver Broncos when he suffered a broken femur, forcing him to miss the remainder of the season.
This type of injury is rare in the NFL, but sources familiar with the situation told LouisianaSports.net that once surgically repaired, the femur is expected to be even stronger with minimal risk of reinjury.
That certainly looks to be the case as Adebo continues to document his recovery on social media with his latest update including videos of himself doing backflips, running, changing direction, backpedaling, and more demanding physical activities.

All signs point to Adebo making a strong recovery as he prepares for free agency next week. The Saints’ top cornerback appears on track to be fully ready for the start of the 2025 NFL season. Additionally, Adebo reassured several of us at the end of the season that he expected to be back at full strength.
The Saints should be making it a priority to keep Adebo in New Orleans and have made known that they do want him back. A return for the 2021 third-round selection will all come down to contract value. His injury may pose challenges, but a short-term deal with New Orleans seems likely as he aims for a bigger contract in the future.
