Ingram arrived in New Orleans in 2019 as part of the deal that sent Anthony Davis to the Lakers. He earned an All-Star nod and was named Most Improved Player a season later. The team signed him to a five-year max contract that offseason.
Injuries have also been a part of Ingram’s story in New Orleans. While he’s averaging 22.2 points per game this season, Ingram has suited up only 18 times. The 6-foot-8, 190-pound forward has not played more than 64 games since arriving in New Orleans. An ankle injury has kept him out since December.
Ingram was the No. 2 overall pick of the Lakers in 2016 out of Duke.
The Pelicans will be Brown’s sixth NBA team. The 28-year-old small forward is averaging 8.4 points per game. Olynyk is a 33-yar-old journeyman who is now on his seventh NBA team.
New Orleans is 12-39, the worst record in the Western Conference.
