Texas starting quarterback Quinn Ewers is expected to be the starter next week against Oklahoma in the Red River Rivalry between Texas and Oklahoma.
Anwar Richardson of orangebloods.com reported Wednesday that sources confirmed to him the third-year signal caller would be back and ready to go for the rivalry.
According to multiple sources, Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers participated in practice on Tuesday and received the first-team reps. I was told, “Quinn is playing [against Oklahoma]. No way he misses this game or the rest of the season. He wants to win the SEC and a Natty.” pic.twitter.com/CLbmWqx4BG

Ewers injured his oblique against UTSA earlier this season and has sat for the last two and a half games to recover while future phenom and former No. 1 ranked recruit Arch Manning got his first two collegiate starts.
Ewers had completed over 73 percent of his passes so far this season for nearly 700 yards and eight passing touchdowns. He also shined in Texas’s, 31-12, Week two victory at Michigan.
