12/02/2024
BATON ROUGE, La. — Landon Ibieta will enter the transfer portal after an injury-plagued three seasons at LSU. Geaux247 was the first to report the news.
Ibieta signed with LSU as a three-star receiver out of Mandeville High in 2022. His lone action that season came in the Citrus Bowl against Purdue where he caught two passes for 15 yards.
After missing the entire 2023 season due to injury, Ibieta’s only action in 2024 came against Arkansas.
LSU is expected to have a full receiver room in 2025. Brian Kelly recently hinted that Aaron Anderson and CJ Daniels are expected to return next season. Veterans Chris Hilton and Zavion Thomas could also return, while freshman Kyle Parker will be coming back from injury. Former five-star Shelton Sampson will be entering his third season in Baton Rouge and freshman tight end Trey’Dez Green was recently moved to receiver.
Ibieta joins quarterback Rickie Collins as the first two Tigers reportedly looking for new destinations.
