Report: Malzahn resigning at UCF, to become Florida State OC

Former Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn is resigning as head coach at Central Florida after four seasons to become the offensive coordinator at Florida State. ESPN’s Pete Thamel first reported the news.

Malzahn, 59, is 28-24 in his four years with the Golden knights, including a 4-8 finish to the 2024 season.
Malzahn’s first collegiate coaching job was as an offensive coordinator at Arkansas back in 2006, but he hasn’t been a coordinator since he was the play caller for Auburn from 2009-2011.
