Report: Saints request interview with Eagles’ OC Kellen Moore
By Ross Jackson
The interviews keep rolling in. The New Orleans Saints are opening up a wide search for their next head coach and the most recent reports have sent them to the City of Brotherly Love.
According to multiple reports, the Saints have requested a formal interview with Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Kellen Moore.
Moore is in the midst of a playoff run with the Eagles, whose offense finished the 2024 regular season ranked No. 7 in scoring and No. 2 in rushing.
The 36-year-old coordinator has been a hot name since his successful tenure as the Dallas Cowboys’ offensive coordinator from 2019 to 2022. Moore has built a strong reputation as a “quarterback whisperer,” credited with the development of Dak Prescott, Justin Herbert, and Jalen Hurts. All three quarterbacks have excelled under Moore’s guidance, a promising trait for the Saints, who already have two young passers on their roster.
Moore has limited connections to New Orleans aside from running backs coach Derrick Foster, indicating a wide-ranging search could be on the way for the Saints, who have gathered a fair amount of criticism in anticipation of the franchise sticking with a familiar candidate rather than looking outside of their comfort zone.
Moore joins a growing list of names linked to the Saints’ search, including Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn, Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Joe Brady, and interim head coach Darren Rizzi.
