Report: Saints to host free agent offensive lineman Dillon Radunz

By Ross Jackson
NEW ORLEANS, La. – After being mostly silent on the top-tier offensive line free agent market, the New Orleans Saints are finally seeing some movement in the area.
Per ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, the Saints are set to host former Tennessee Titans offensive lineman Dillon Radunz for a free agency visit.

New Orleans is in search of its next starting left guard with outgoing free agent Lucas Patrick exploring other opportunities. The team has invested in its offensive line depth this offseason bringing back familiar faces like New Orleans native Will Clapp for a second stint and re-signing 2021 draft pick Landon Young. But the Saints still have a glaring hole on their line with no starter on the left side of the interior.
Radunz could change that.
The North Dakota State University alum is a violent player that was taken by the Titans in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft. The former Bison offensive lineman was a fringe first-rounder throughout the draft cycle and has experience at multiple positions since entering the league.
Career regular season snaps by position:
- Right Guard: 1,080
- Left Guard: 322
- Right Tackle: 504
- Left Tackle: 162
While the majority of his experience has been at right guard, left guard shouldn’t be a tall task for Radunz should he impress in his visit with the Saints. The four-year pro has also visited with the Seattle Seahawks, who continue their search for another offensive lineman as well, and more visits could be on the way if Radunz doesn’t land with New Orleans following his visit.
Last season Radunz started 15 games at right guard. During that time he surrendered six sacks, a pair of quarterback hits and a total of 23 combined pressures. He is noted as an active and physical run blocker as well.

While he has an ACL injury in his history from the 2022 season, he only missed a pair of games last year in late December due to a shoulder injury.
Turning just 27 years of age in the coming days, offensive line coach Brendan Nugent and head coach Kellen Moore could add a player that could have a bright future on their line in Radunz.
