In mid-July, LSU’s 2025 signing class was without a defensive back. Saturday Brian Kelly and Corey Raymond reeled in their fourth in six weeks.

Ruston cornerback Aidan Anding pledged his commitment to LSU.

Anding picked the home state Tigers over Texas and Arkansas, becoming the 25th commitment to the class.

The On3 Industry Ranking tabs Anding a three-star prospect and the No. 13 player in the state of Louisiana. Many believe that ranking will rise as the 6-foot, 165 lbs. cornerback progresses through his senior season.

Anding has been a basketball standout throughout his youth. In recent years he has devoted more of his time to football, and the progress have been obvious.

Safety Jhase Thomas and cornerbacks DJ Pickett and Kade Phillips join Anding in LSU’s suddenly impressive defensive back haul. The Tigers also took four defensive backs in the class of 2024 as the program attempts to retool a secondary which finished 118th of 133 teams in pass defense last season.
