Ryan, Frazier Among Ailing Tigers

Baton Rouge, La. – Brian Kelly updated his team’s injury situation after practice Wednesday.

Senior cornerback Sage Ryan is deal with what Kelly described as “a grade 1 hamstring.”  Linebacker West Weeks has a foot sprain, and offensive guard Miles Frazier, who was seen in a walking boot Wednesday, injured his ankle.

Kelly described the injuries as “the bumps and bruises of camp.”

Receiver Chris Hilton has a bone bruise and should return this weekend.  Hilton suffered the injury Saturday when he came down awkwardly after a contested catch in the team’s 7-on-7 period during the media viewing portion of practice.

“These are injuries that should clear up this week and have them back full-go for preparation for USC,” Kelly added.

LSU is scheduled to practice in Tiger Stadium Saturday.  Media was initially invited to attend, but that availability has been cancelled.

The Tigers open the 2024 season Sept. 1 in Las Vegas against USC.
