Saints eyeing physical wideouts at NFL Scouting Combine

By Ross Jackson
With two field-stretching and explosive athletes at wide receiver already, the New Orleans Saints should be eyeing big-bodied, physical prospects at the position during the NFL Scouting Combine.
With pass-catchers Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed set to be at the top of the position again in 2025, the Saints should be looking for a complementary wide receiver to add to the group. This year’s NFL Draft provides several options.
On Saturday, wideouts will hit the field of Lucas Oil Stadium to showcase their abilities. Here are a few of the numerous receivers New Orleans should be watching.

Stanford WR Elic Ayomanor (6’2-210) will be at the Senior Bowl and I’m looking forward to seeing him in 1v1s.
Ayomanor is an inside/outside threat. Ball skills, route running, and separation are plus-makers in his profile. #NFLDraft pic.twitter.com/IkC8ViovIO

A lagniappe is Arizona wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan should be the top player in the Saints’ cloud at pick No. 9 overall. Per our partners at ArizonaSports.com, the 6-foot-5, 210-pound receiver will not be participating in Combine drills, but is expected to be the first of the positions drafted.
