Saints odds to land Aaron Rodgers

New Saints coach Kellen Moore has a tough decision to make regarding Derek Carr’s future in New Orleans. Cutting the veteran quarterback would save $30 million against the salary cap but would leave the Saints in need of a veteran at the position.
BetOnline.ag suggests the Saints could enter the Aaron Rodgers sweepstakes. The former Packers and Jets quarterback will be a free agent and the Saints have 18-to-1 odds to sign him, seventh among the teams listed.
NFL fans seem to agree with oddsmakers, who have the Steelers as the favorite to land the 41-year-old former MVP. The map below courtesy of BetOnline.ag is based on geotagged X data in the last week, tracking tweets, hashtags, and direct keyword phrases about where Aaron Rodgers will be playing in 2025. For example, “Aaron Rodgers will go to the Steelers,” “Aaron Rodgers will be a 49er,” “Aaron Rodgers will go to the Raiders,” “Aaron Rodgers should go to the Vikings,” etc. Over 80,000 tweets were tracked.
As you can see from the map, the vast majority of NFL fans think Rodgers is headed to the Pittsburgh Steelers to replace Russell Wilson. There is also a large chunk of fans who want him to go to the Vikings. Some want this simply for the entertaining coincidence it would create, in that Brett Favre (whom Rodgers replaced in Green Bay) also went to the Jets, and then to the Minnesota Vikings.
Rodgers will certainly be looking to go to a contender, so Pittsburgh and Minnesota do make sense. The 49ers have also been linked to Rodgers in the past, so it will be interesting to see what happens.
Rodgers and the Jets officially parted ways this week.
