Saints re-sign WR Dante Pettis

NEW ORLEANS — Teams across the NFL are locking down some of their players ahead of free agency beginning and the New Orleans Saints have begun to get in on the action.
After picking up linebacker Nephi Sewell’s exclusive rights tender last week, the Saints are bringing back another special teams contributor, wide receiver Dante Pettis.
Per Ari Meirov of 33rd Team, the Saints re-signed the wideout on a one-year deal.

Pettis had 12 receptions for 120 receiving yards and a touchdown catch in 2024. But beyond that, the wideout also contributed as an effective returner with return specialist and wide receiver Rashid Shaheed out for the season with injury.
Pettis will enter his seventh NFL season after joining the Saints with just eight games remaining last year. Now, he’ll get a chance to spend the offseason with the Saints to possibly prepare for a larger role in new Saints head coach Kellen Moore’s offense.
New Orleans is likely to see more changes at Pettis’ position this offseason.
