NEW ORLEANS — After a busy day on Tuesday, the New Orleans Saints had one more move in store for the late hours of the evening. While the extension for running back Alvin Kamara rightfully dominated headlines, the Saints reunited with a local offensive lineman.
Per KPRC’s Aaron Wilson, the Saints added former Tulane center Sincere Haynesworth to their practice squad.
Haynesworth was with the Saints this offseason until an injury in the team’s second preseason game against the San Francisco 49ers started a process leading to him eventually being waived with an injury designation. The Tulane alum worked along the team’s interior offensive line throughout camp.
Much like wide receiver Jermaine Jackson, the Saints are reuniting with the undrafted free agent rookie. New Orleans had just terminated the contract of Chris Reed, another interior offensive lineman from their practice squad, Tuesday afternoon. This move keeps depth at the position.
