Saints schedule interview with Dolphins DC Anthony Weaver

Head coaching interviews are set to begin in earnest for the New Orleans Saints.
According to Jonathan Jones of NFL on CBS, the Saints have scheduled an interview with Miami Dolphins defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver for Wednesday.
This becomes the earliest confirmed interview of the Saints search. New York Giants offensive coordinator and assistant head coach Mike Kafka is reportedly scheduled to interview on Friday, while Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn is set to meet virtually with New Orleans between Thursday and Saturday.
Weaver is an intriguing option for New Orleans. A defensive-minded coach, he has a reputation as an energetic culture-builder that connects very well with his players.
A former player, the career defensive end spent years with the Baltimore Ravens and Houston Texans. He later joined the coaching staffs of both teams after stints with the New York Jets, Buffalo Bills, and Cleveland Browns.
He’s held a variety of positions including defensive line coach, defensive run game coordinator, assistant head coach, and most recently with the Dolphins, defensive coordinator.
That’s a lot of experience for a 44-year-old candidate. Weaver’s diverse coaching background and firsthand playing experience equip him with the leadership qualities and strategic insight necessary to build a strong team culture.
