A big-bodied wide receiver has been on many analysts’ wishlist for the New Orleans Saints this offseason, and an underrated prospect visit could bring the team closer to checking that box in this year’s NFL Draft.

Per The Draft Network’s Ryan Fowler, the Saints are expected to host Arkansas wide receiver Isaac TeSlaa on a pre-draft visit.

The report was confirmed by Jordan Schultz of FOX Sports who added that the visit will take place either this week or next amidst a slew of time spent with other teams. Teams including the Detroit Lions, Buffalo Bills and Los Angeles Rams are set to get an extended look at TeSlaa at their facilities as well.

The Razorbacks wide receiver is an outstanding prospect because of his prototypical size (6-foot-4 and 214 pounds) paired with his explosive athletic metrics.

TeSlaa’s Athletics Testing Results

TeSlaa is a standout this offseason during the draft process thanks to those remarkable testing results. But beyond that, he has a clear fit in the Saints’ offense. Many of the receivers in New Orleans have usage tied to their speed. Chris Olave, Rashid Shaheed and Brandin Cooks are impressively fast and can take the top off of a defense while Olave can also run any route in the route tree.

What TeSlaa would add is another physical presence that could be deployed from the slot (79% of his snaps in 2024 came from the slot) with the potential to attack out wide. He reeled in 71.4% of his contested catch opportunities in 2024, making him a possible red zone weapon as well.

The wideout caught 28 passes last season with Arkansas for 545 receiving yards and had three touchdowns receptions.
