NFL Insider Adam Schefter reported Sunday that Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian will garner some interest from NFL teams this offseason.

“I would expect some teams to call and inquire about the Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian,” said Schefter.

Sarkisian is no stranger to the NFL, as he spent two years as the Atlanta Falcons offensive coordinator in 2017 and 2018, finishing in the top ten in total yards each season.

Sarkisian has been a head coach for 11 years in the collegiate ranks. He is currently in his fourth season as the head coach at Texas and has his team in the College Football Playoff Semifinal for the second year in a row. He is 38-16 with the Longhorns and 25-4 over the last two seasons.

Texas is set to play Ohio State in the Cotton Bowl on Friday for a chance to go to the CFP National Championship Game.
