Sellers set to return for Gamecocks

South Carolina got some good news coming out of the bye week. Quarterback LaNorris Sellers was listed at the top of the depth chart on Monday. Sellers is expected to start for the Gamecocks this Saturday against Ole Miss in Williams-Brice Stadium after missing the last game and a half against Akron and LSU.

Sellers suffered a high ankle sprain late in the first half against LSU in week three, and backup Robby Ashford started in his place in South Carolina’s 50-7 win against Akron the following week.

Through two and a half games, the former four-star recruit from South Florence is completing 54.7 percent of his passes with over 500 yards of total offense and five total touchdowns. The Gamecocks are currently a 9.5 point underdog against Ole Miss this Saturday.
