Swinson selected by New England in fifth round

After a breakout final season at LSU, Bradyn Swinson is a fifth-round pick.
With the 146th pick in the NFL Draft, the New England Patriots selected Swinson on Saturday.
Swinson led LSU in tackles for loss, 13, and sacks, 8.5, in 2025, flourishing under new edge rushers coach Kevin Peoples. Swinson was the SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week twice during the year and the Defensive Player of the Week one time for his three-sack effort at South Carolina.
Swinson played his first three years at Oregon and his final three at LSU.
He joins teammate Will Campbell (4th overall) as Tigers selected by New England in the 2025 draft.
