Texas Lands Massive Four Star OT

Texas landed a big commitment Friday evening—literally.  Nick Brooks, a 6-foot-7, 360 lbs. offensive tackle has committed to the Longhorns, according to Hayes Fawcett of On3.

Brooks, a one-time Iowa commit, chose the Longhorns over finalists Georgia and USC.

The On3 Composite rates Brooks as the 208^th best overall prospect and the 17^th best OT.  He ranks as high as No. 130 overall by ESPN and the 14^th best OT by 247Sports.

Brooks is originally from Cedar Rapids, IA, but now preps at Grayson in Loganville, Ga.

This is the 17^th commitment for Texas’s 2025 class, which ranks 14^th nationally and eighth in the SEC.

Texas could surge this weekend as the nation’s No. 1 safety Jonah Williams will announce his commitment Saturday.  He will choose among Texas, Texas A&M, LSU and Oregon.
