Toviano Arrested

LSU sophomore defensive back Javien Toviano turned himself in to local authorities Sunday on charges of video voyeurism, according to reports.

According to arrest warrants, Toviano, 19, is accused of recording a woman without her consent while the two were having sex. The woman reportedly told detectives that she discovered multiple videos of the two on Toviano’s personal iPad and that the videos were recorded through a clock near Toviano’s bed. The victim added that she had made it clear that she did not want to be recorded.

Upon turning himself in, Toviano reportedly admitted to the recordings, adding that he did use a hidden camera.

LSU said in a statement to WAFB-TV in Baton Rouge that Toviano has been suspended from all team activities, in accordance with departmental policies. We will not have further comment out of respect for the legal process.”

Toviano arrived at LSU as a Top 100 player nationally and a four-star prospect according to 247sports. During his freshman season he played in all 13, making three starts. He recorded 33 tackles and was credited with one pass breakup.

LSU begins fall practice Thursday, Aug 1.
