Twitter Reacts: Bama tops Georgia in wild finish
09/29/2024
Alabama and Georgia usually play in December or January, not September. To get this matchup in the regular season is something special for SEC and college football fans. Regardless of when these two programs play on the calendar it is almost always a classic. Saturday was no different.
Alabama took a 30-7 lead at the half only to squander it away, and then find themselves trailing their biggest nemesis, 34-33, with a little over two minutes to go. That’s when 17-year-old freshman wide receiver Ryan Williams made one of the greatest plays of the season, and maybe in Alabama football history.
Alabama won the game 41-34, and social media went crazy. Here are some of our favorite tweets and posts from the game.

This was Kalen Deboer’s “I’m the captain now” game. Alabama is still Alabama without Nick Saban.
