Twitter reacts to Kentucky’s upset win over Ole Miss
09/28/2024
Kentucky kicked off a fantastic day of SEC and college football with a huge upset win, as the Wildcats went into Oxford and beat No. 6 Ole Miss, 20-17. It was the first time Kentucky has won in Oxford since 1978, and the highest-ranked opponent they’ve beaten since No. 4 Penn State in 1977.
Mark Stoops was emotional after the win, and with good reason. Kentucky was labeled everything imaginable after their embarrassing week two home loss to South Carolina. And, none of it was good. Kentucky held Ole Miss to 1-of-10 on third down and scored late thanks in part to a huge fourth-and-seven conversion that quarterback Brock Vandagriff turned into a 63-yard completion.
Social media went wild after the upset in Saturday’s opening game. Here were some of our favorite posts.

A college football game should not bother me this much. There’s no way I can sleep tonight.

Something needs to be done about faking injuries. This is getting out of hand.
