USC Tabs Moss Starting QB
Lincoln Riley named his starting quarterback Monday.
The Trojans’ QB1 will be Miller Moss.
The Los Angeles product, a redshirt junior, was a four-Star recruit in the 2021 recruiting cycle and has spent the last two seasons backing up Heisman Trophy winner and No.1 overall draft pick, Caleb Williams.
Despite being a backup the last two seasons, Moss did start one game for the Trojans a year ago in the Holiday Bowl against No. 15 Louisville. That game gave the USC fans in attendance a lot of excitement heading into the post-Williams era, as he completed nearly 70% of his passes for 372 yards and 6 TDs on his way to being named MVP in a 42-28 win.
The Trojans open the season in Vegas against LSU, and the Tigers may have their hands full considering their secondary finished last season ranked 118th in pass defense.
