Way too early Heisman odds for 2025

The first odds for next season’s Heisman Trophy Award have been released by BetOnline. The full list was released Thursday morning with 25 players receiving early odds for the sport’s most coveted individual award.
Of the 25 players listed only 18 were quarterbacks. That may not seem like a surprising number especially since Travis Hunter became the third non-quarterback to win the award in the last 15 years. However, having seven position players included in the 25 players on the board is drastically different than last year. In last year’s initial Heisman odds the first 20 players overall were quarterbacks with only one non-signal caller listed at all (Running Back Trevor Etienne, Georgia).
Ten SEC players were featured as well including four in the top five. That number could increase as some players on the board are currently in the transfer portal and looking at SEC schools as their potential destination. Here’s a look at every SEC Player on the 2025 short list and their odds to bring home the Heisman.
